With the broken winches from yesterday we didn't want to travel too far by road so we looked at the options for trips from the closest boat ramp (Old Ferry Dock Road) and selected lunch at Cash Creek Landing.
It was a sunny day with very little wind and we opted to run the 10 miles or so to Cash Creek Landing, have lunch, and then come back slowly taking in the views of the bayfront houses & docks. It was nice to get back to having uneventful trips. And sharing Cash Creek Landing with a young family out for a Sunday swim and an older chap with Alligator-catching stories from his youth made it all the better.
The dog in the photos is a 5 month old Rottweiler called Roxy. She was very bouncy, sweet & cuddly and stopped barking at me just as soon as I took off my hat and sunglasses :-)
