We launched at the first boat ramp in the State Park on on St George Island where it was a little on the warm side (in the mid-90's). Sunscreen and hats were in and life-jackets were off. A little too hot for kayaking comfort.

We did get a little break part way through the trip when a storm blew past us. It barely rained on us but it cooled us down nicely for about 20 minutes.

I quite enjoyed the wind & the waves but paddling across an open bay just to tour the coastline a little is not nearly as much fun as exploring creeks.

We lunched at the picnic table at the island's primitive campsite, which was still as pretty as it was when we hiked to it in January but a few more bugs this time of year...
