St Vincent Island

With the potential for a perfect day we put in at the somewhat steep boat ramp at Indian Pass and made our way around St Vincent Island to a great little lunch spot at the North Eastern tip which is locally known as "dry bar".

"Dry Bar" is fantastically beautiful but the locals do catch 5 and 6 foot long sharks there in the warmer months so swimming's not top of the priority list.

Most of the shells in the area are fairly well chopped up, not sure if that's by boats or by the sheer battering from the water, but little sharp pieces of shell cover the ground and actually make the little spit of land that sticks out there.
I can tell you from experience (now) that getting one of those shells stuck in between your sandal and your foot can rub off a layer or 2 of skin in no time at all.
